Thanks for all the kind messages and donations left here. Thanks to all the people attending the funeral and wake tomorrow for coming to celebrate my dad's life. Thanks to the police, search and rescue agencies and the people of Crockerton for their efforts to find him. And finally thank you to my dad for being a GREAT ONE. You will be missed sleep well Dad ❤️

Bob was a great man full of fun with an interest in the countryside, sport and family. As his nephew by marriage I and indeed my family had many visits spent in conversation around these subjects with him with much laughter and fun. The debates around English cricket over the years were deep and thoughtful and although we enjoyed them, we had no way of putting them to the powers that be. As a countryman he was full of knowledge and country law. He had great pleasure in recounting his visits up to East Anglia and the home of the great Kenzie Thorpe and his shack on the coast, where he did his wild fowling many years ago. Our family will always fondly remember Bob and the time we spent with him and our daughters always loved their interaction with him and the laugher. He will be sadly missed by us all. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family. Although it must be said the memories will always be happy and joyful. Rest in peace Bob you had a great innings.
